The Apartment.

 You will be without any weapons for quite a while.

 

The Apartment – Hub Level, part 1.

Lara is in the bedroom, jump out from behind the bed and go into the corridor, to the open kitchen N and get the Health tablets (Small Medipack). There are more on the table in the living room, but you can’t get those. Back to the corridor and opposite the bedroom is the bathroom. Next to the sink is a hole in the wall, get in and end up in the subway.

 

The Subway – part 1.

Nice doggy!

Head down the stairs and at the crossing go left to where another flyby kicks in. Nice doggy! Run through this tunnel and jump over the beast; straight to the gates S and up left into the crawlspace. Come to where a dog is sound asleep. Throw the switch there to open the gate to the station. Return through the crawlspace and the beast is no longer there.

So return N to the tunnel you came from and find a door you can open, side flip over the crates and get the First Aid Stuff (Large Medipack). Back out, go left to the crossing and left through the tunnel with the steam, take a right and down the stairs.

The Station, the 1st ID Card.

Head left and up the stairs, left into that room and open the door NE, inside, next to the open cabinet is a cabinet you can open from one step back. You’ll get the 1st ID Card, nothing more to do here. Back out and hop over the fence to the NW corner to get into the crawlspace. Follow through to a damaged room. Stand in the NE corner facing S, back flip onto the grey slope behind you and jump to grab the top of the block. Turn around and jump to the ledge N, then W and grab up W to the ledge above.

Some Money.

Head S and drop down into the room there, pull the crate SE out of the corner to get Some Money from under it. Open the door W and go down to a room with Secret #1, Uzi ammo. The door will be open so you can get out to a passage, open all doors one by one. The first door in front has nothing; the second one W has Health tablets behind the crates.

The second door E is a machine room (for a Secret later), a Zombie showed up in the passage, just avoid her. The third door E has a burning barrel and some piping. You can side flip over the barrel behind the pipes and get Secret #2, First Aid Stuff (duck to get it). Back to the passage and the last door W is for later, there is a switch box we have to shoot when there are guns available.

The 2nd ID Card.

Go back S through this passage, with all the doors blocking your way, get past that Zombie and out to the station. Go down the steps SE and to the E side of the Terminal. To the right is a beggar, put some money in his cup and he will leave the 2nd ID Card for you (will appear next to him on the floor).

Up in the large Hall for the Coin.

Open the door E, behind the woman and follow through to a large area. Go N and make your way down to the ground floor, between the pipes SE is some Pistol ammo. Make your way back up to the entrance by going to the stairs N and climb the block on the right and hoist up the ledge. Jump over to the S.

Hang from the edge where the broken sign is (the middle of the ledge) and drop. Now jump to the walkway E and go NE, jump over to a ledge N and onwards to the stairs N. Now climb the grating left (N) and get onto the ledge left. Turn left (E) and jump to the ledge S and to the next one.

Climb the grating up to the ledge on the left and face N. Jump to the slanted block and a few jumps get you to a ledge with burning boxes. Go jump to those fans W and face SW, you can see some corroded sloped ledges. That is where you have to jump to in order to get to the ledge behind the grey pillar S (screenshot). Jump to the nearest ledge, keep jumping back and forwards, get close to the right hand side and slide as far forward as you dare, then jump with a hard right curve behind that grey pillar and slide to the edge (savegame).

Shimmy to the next corner and from there, take a running jump to that grating SW, go up to another ledge. Look up SE to spot a monkey climb, jump to it and follow to the end, drop and jump N, then SW and face N standing on the NW corner. That grating isn’t climbable, you’ll have to (banana) jump around it to a ledge behind (savegame). Get to the door NE and inside.

After the flyby you can go in and side flip over the crate SW, get Secret #3, Shotgun ammo.  Jump back and enter the door E (you can’t do anything with the teddy) and close to the next door are Health tablets, duck to get those. Back outside and to the pit SW, hop over the fence and get into the crawlspace to get the Coin (duck to get it).

Go back out, and hop over the fence, just avoid that beast and run out NW. Now we have to get back down, fastest way with some health loss: From coming out of the room, straight W, hang from the ledge and drop, jump to the ledge W and do the same from the S side (On this ledge is a door, it leads you back to the start of this level, open it and run to the gates till they open up, no need to go further. You opened a shortcut to a Secret for later). So turn around and go back to the ledge in the large Hall, now drop SW and go S, out left to the Terminal.

Buy a Ticket.

Go to the ticket booth W, on the S side of it (it is the last one) and use the Coin to get a Ticket. A gate nearby opens (bit to the E and left (S), so go through to the platform. Hop down onto the track and go left (W) use one ID card on the door to the right and throw the switch inside (opens a gate where we go next). Proceed W through this tunnel and climb left onto the next platform. Go up NE and then to the red car N, it will come for you. Jump past it and go around the corner. SW in this room of pillars is the gate you opened before, get in and use the 2nd Card. A door opens to the left, slide down and follow the crawlspaces to the left to get back to the apartment.

 

The Apartment – part 2.

Enter the kitchen again and find a hole in the NE corner, get to the neighbours apartment and head into the living room, look out the window and get back to the other apartment (nothing else to find here). In the bedroom a hole appeared in the S wall, stand close to the small cabinet and grab up. Follow through to where a flyby starts.

 

A Place for Mental Scars - part 1.

Turn E and crawl up the slope along the left side to get behind that fire and find Secret #4, Revolver ammo. Back out and to the W, first right a corridor with a lot of doors.

1st left door, at first there’s nothing there, but walk in front of the beds till they burn, some First Aid Stuff will appear near the door.

1st right door, nothing.

1st left door, nothing.

2nd left, grates and a lever, come back with pistols

2nd right, nothing.

3rd right, a closed door.

4th right (S wall), burning chairs and a door, open it and find Shotgun ammo, open another door N and you are in room 3rd right, out to the corridor and to the W, left into the next corridor with a zombie.

1st door left, nothing

2nd door left, a teddy bear, can’t pick it up…

1st door right, crosses.

3rd door left, ventilation room with Uzi ammo

2nd door right, bedroom with nothing.

Head N to the main corridor and take a right (W), take the first right corridor.

1st door left, Revolver ammo.

1st right, lots of teddy bears, not to be taken.

2nd door left, kind of office with a jump lever left around the door (NE), a flyby of a devils head with a stone in it. Go out and left (S).

2nd door right, nothing.

To the S end of the corridor, go left to the last corridor W. To the left is one more door you can open, there’s a crowbar lever inside and no crowbar yet. All other doors are closed for now.

The Pistols (finally).

Head S into the SW corridor and at the sign with the arrow and make your way down into the pit. Enter the passage NW, climb over the wall and go up NW, to the right and behind the blocks is Secret #5, Revolver ammo. Back to the lower part E and take a right to the steep tunnel NE, save and slide down into a maze with nasty creatures (Map of the Maze).

Run forward and left around the corner where a creature will come for you, go E through the opening in the fence and go left. Follow through and go straight onto a bridge. To the end and down the left side (S), go find the Pistols there and get back up to the bridge.

Back to the maze (W) and first go straight, left around the corner and then right through the fence. Go left (N) and around the corner left again. This is a dead end part of the maze and in the back is First Aid Stuff. Just keep to the right hand wall. Go back and through the fence again, run to the S side, turn left there and draw the pistols (choose from inventory) to shoot the grating ahead (SW corner). In this corridor is a ladder S, go up to the top and head SE. You’re back where you got the secret before.

Go down E and leave over the wall S, go out and climb out on a block, turn and grab the ladder, turn right and you are out of the pit. To the S is that head you have to shoot later. For now go N and left, all the way to the E end and right around the corner, the first door on the right has those shootable grates, shoot them and throw the lever to open gates. Out of the door and to the right to the main corridor, to the right again and take the second left. Here is where those gates opened.

 

The Subway – part 2.

As soon as the level changed, turn around and walk back a bit. On the W wall is a switch, use that to open a door in the top of the large hall where you got the Coin before. It is opened to get a Secret, so if you want it follow the next blue part. We’ll continue after the break…

Secret Hunt:

It is opened to get a Secret, so if you want it follow the next blue part.

Go S, take a right and right again, left around the corner and at the next crossing left, through the small door and from the green ledge follow the old route back up to the top of the Hall. Turn (E) and jump, then go to the ledge S and to the next one. Climb the grating up to the ledge on the left and face N. Jump to the slanted block and a few jumps get you to a ledge with burning boxes.

Go jump to those fans W and face SW, you can see some corroded sloped ledges. That is where you have to jump to in order to get to the ledge behind the grey pillar S. Jump to the nearest ledge, keep jumping back and forwards, get close to the right hand side and slide as far forward as you dare, then jump with a hard right curve behind that grey pillar and slide to the edge.

Shimmy to the next corner and from there a jump to that grating SW, go up to another ledge. To the E door and inside is the door you opened, take the Screwdriver (usable on a machine).

Go back to the Hall and drop from the W side of the ledge, jump W to the fans and drop from the S side, then SW and jump S. Go left to the Terminal and up the stairs W, into the door W and left around the corner where all the doors are, second door left where the machines are and use the screwdriver on the one with the steam (face NE). A door opens in the passage. Go out and right, out of this passage and to the door NE, inside another door opened up behind the cabinet NE (side flip to get behind it). Find Secret #6, 2x First Aid Stuff.

Go back out and to the door W again, to the very end into the last door right, behind the crates (NE) is an electric box you can shoot, throw the switch to open the door at the end of the passage. Get out and take a right through that door. Scroll down to “The Basement” to continue.

Welcome back: this is where you proceed if you don't go for the Secrets

Go S from where you entered the level and gates open up, keep going straight S, down the stairs to the Terminal. Left and up the stairs W, into the door W and at the end of the passage right, behind the crates is a cover you can shoot, throw the switch to open the door at the end of the passage. Get out and take a right through that door.  

The Basement, Flooded and Drained.

Dive in and swim into the tunnel NW, climb out and throw the lever to open a room. Run back through the now dry basement and go S and climb up a few black at the S wall and head back through the passage with the zombie to the Terminal (SE), at the Ticket counter left to the platform.

The Crowbar.

Hop down to the track and this time go E, to the left is the room you opened with the lever in the basement. Dive in and find the underwater lever under the entrance ledge, it will open the gates on the track. Get out and left (E) trough the gates, left over the block in the opening in the wall and left again, hop over crates to get behind them and pick up the Crowbar.

The Shotgun.

That’s all we can do here, head back to the Terminal, jump through the wall and down on the tracks, go right (W) up the platform on the right, up the stairs W and into the passage with the zombie W (could someone please close those doors….). Just go in and follow through to the basement and jump to the ledge behind the pillar on the left, grab up to the top of the pillar and jump into the opening SE.

Go around the crates to a grating E, climb up and onto the ledge left. Jump into the opening W and get the Shotgun there. Jump back to the ledge at the ladder and from there into an opening NW. Hang from the edge and shimmy left around the corner to pull up between the crates. There’s a small crawlspace here, get through to a small room with a crowbar lever. Use the lever (face E) and watch what happens. Get out, face E on the ledge and side flip left twice. Get out to the basement and jump to the walkway. Shoot a flying zombie (one shot with the shotgun worked for me) and get to the gate N by jumping to the other walkway.

Get out to where the lady is and head W and right at the corner, all the way straight S and down a slope, to the right behind a pillar is First Aid Stuff. Head back the way you came and go E from where the lady is. Up the rubble (N) and left into a crawlspace.

 

The Apartment – part 3.

The Lasersight.

Back in the bedroom, go to the living room and look out the window, someone is watching you. Go back to the bedroom and behind the bed is a hole in the floor, crawl through to the neighbours. Get the Lasersight S near the clocks. Take a left or right and o to the far N wall is an opening in the wall. Crawl through to the bedroom. Go to the sitting room and take a left (E) and find a crawlspace and get in.

 

A Place For Mental Scars – part 2.

The Revolver, shoot some Gems.

Go straight and get the Revolver ammo and step out into the corridor. Turn left and into the door left you opened before, in the back is a crowbar lever (face E) and a near by door opens up. Out to the corridor again, left and right into the opened door. In the back is the Revolver. Go out, head left (S) to the end of the passage with the sign, look up and shoot the Gem in the mouth of the head (combine Revolver and Sight).

Now we go for the second head, walk back a bit to the sign with the arrow, drop to the ledge in the pit there and jump over to the ledge SE. Climb the ladder and to the ledge left, look up N and shoot the second Gem. Go back down and to the W corridor.

Return N and look for the first open door on the right, inside is a switch, a flyby will show a gate opened where you just shot that second Gem. Get out of this room.

Secret Hunt:

For the next secret, go N and into the next door right (opened when you shot the first Gem). Jump up and go all the way in the back and face N standing back against the sloped floor. Back flip onto the slope, jump with a hard right curve onto the higher floor W and jump E, go right into the tunnel and follow through, save before you enter the next room with the sloped floor as there’s a nasty creature roaming around. In the back corner is Secret #7, Shotgun ammo, First Aid Stuff and Revolver ammo. This creature can easily set you on fire, so this isn’t an easy Secret for sure. A save on the way out… (savegame). You’ll have to crawl a bit to get out of the spot where the secret is…(Tip: Shoot the creature once with the revolver to buy some time).

Welcome back:

Head back S to the pit and go up the ladder SE again, climb up W to where that gate opened in the dark.

The Asylum, an Electronic Piece. Here’s a Map of this section.

- Go to the billiards room (1) and get the Electronic Piece from between the pool tables.

- Head straight N, past the 2 crossings and turn left around the corner where the door is, burning barrels, left again and use the Electronic Piece

to the right of the door (2). Inside in the NW corner is a jump switch; it will open another room (3) in this Asylum.

- That room is in the far SE corner. Save before you go in, inside is a lever, DON’T use it yet. Go pick up another Electronic Piece from behind the desk SE and go behind the desk NW, next to the chair to get Secret #8, Revolver ammo (duck to get it).

Now go to the lever and use it, a freaky worm appears. The lever opened a crawlspace in the W corridor (4).

- Get over to the W corridor, left and between the wall lamps is the crawlspace. Climb in and just go right and drop down the opening in the floor. Get into the central cage and climb up the E wall on the left side. Into the opening and go left around 2 corners, face E and climb up again along the left side. Upstairs is the circuit board where you can use the Electronic Piece. Save before using it! In my game the floor didn’t open at first, but after reloading a few times, and placing the Electronic Piece, the wooden ground floor of the central cage opened up.

Climb back down and go into the central cage, dive down into the blood stained water. Climb out N, run past the zombies, open the door and save before you proceed. Shoot that creature, there is more Revolver ammo on a ledge N and S and First Aid Stuff in the NE corner. Dive into the water and in the SW corner is another Electronic Piece, climb back out and use it NW.

Go through the door and follow the corridor to a black door, open it and step into a bedroom. Nothing to do, just go to the sign on the S wall (emergency exit) and step through the wall. Turn right and run to the end.

The Apartment – part 4.

Helena’s Cross.

Go to the living room and find the place torn down… The whole roof is gone.

Go N to the neighbours apartment and right into the bedroom for some First Aid Stuff, back to the corridor and to the N. Climb up to the first floor and shoot that creature. Go SE and find right around the corner some Health tablets, and behind the refrigerator S is Helena’s Cross. Go back NW and down one floor, there is a wooden cross (red light) W. It is now turned into a teleporter and will zap you back to the Subway.

The Subway – part 3.

Go to the gates and they open up, go S to the crossing. We’ll continue after the break…

Take a right, past the lady and right, up the rubble and left into a crawlspace, at the end you’ll find Secret #9, Shotgun ammo. Head back (W) to the crossing.

Welcome back:

Head S, down the slope and out SW, SW again and down to the tracks. Head W and find an open gate.
