The level opens with Lara standing in front of a motor bike. Climb onto the bike and proceed through the barriers. A door will open. Get off the bike and activate the two jump switches. Secret number one is the uzi. After Lara grabs the goodies turn and shoot the vases. The one on the right has a swarm of locusts. Lara can outrun them with minimal damage. The vase on the left will open the next door. Shoot the vase closest to the next unopened door and this will trigger it to open. The other two vases hold a wraith and a shot gun. The sentry gun will be shooting at you so you will have to be quick and watch your life while you grab the gun. Run through the open door and jump into the water. The wraith will die when it hits water. Now climb out and there is another jump switch on a brick column. Jump and pull the switch. A cut scene will play showing an underwater door opening. Before you hunt for that door turn to your right and notice the dark land area beyond the opening in the wall. There are some flares nearby. Grab those and proceed out into the land area. Turn to your right and pick up the uzi ammo lying on the ground. Go to your left and pull the switch. A cut scene will play showing the underwater door next to this body of water open. Grab the arrows on the rock and swim on into the tunnel. A furnace will fire up under Lara but it can't hurt her. Swim to the end of the tunnel and pull up onto the ledge. A dead guy and his bike are in front of you. Get on the bike and ride down the tunnel. Just keep going and hang a left and keep going to the end of that tunnel. Jump off the bike and climb up. Follow the tunnels until you climb up on the ledge with secret number 2, a lasersight. Go forward and push the lever switch. Another cut scene will play showing a door opening and a bike. Keep working your way past the switch and up to a ledge. You should be able to see the bike. You are back where you started the level. Climb on and follow the familiar route to the end where the sentry gun is. Park the bike and jump off. Go straight ahead into the water and swim down. To your left is the open door from the switch you pulled on the column. Swim through this door and on up and pull yourself out. A bike awaits you. Before you climb onto the bike however open up a few doors using the levers. Once you make it past the lever rooms , crash through the bike wall at the end turning left as you do. At the top of the stairs turn left and run over the bad guy. Go towards the end of the path and get off the bike, pick up the ammo and jump over the railing into the water below. Swim to your left and pull out. Pick up the second armour piece on a corner nearby. There are also some other pick up items lying about. A couple of guards may try to stop you. You can take care of them or just jump out the front of the building. Once out of the building slide on down to the bottom and turn to your right. You will see a damaged staircase to your left. Proceed up and when you get near the top use your revolver and lasersight to shoot the blue swinging light. The doors will open. Arm yourself and go in. A bad guy is in the room with you, take care of him.
Near his bike is a jump switch. Pull the switch and watch the cut scene. Now for some great biking fun! Climb onto the bike and go on out the door and to your right. I have tested and retested this part of the level. My advice is that you step on the break(alt) if you think you are losing control of Lara and this will slow the bike down quickly. Take some time and explore. There is a third armour piece and secret 4 somewhere on these hills. After you accomplish this and are finished playing head on down toward the bottom of the slope. Jump off the bike and into the ravine. Lara will fall quite a ways landing in water. There is a fourth piece of armour on the floor and secret 5 on a rock nearby. Grab those and go to the opening at the end of the tunnel. Get some air before entering. Swim down the tunnel turn to your right and keep swimming through this tunnel until you can swim up. Keep swimming up through the flooded room and to the square of air above you. Two switches are in this small room. Pull each switch and watch the cut scenes. Jump back into the water and swim to the top of the flooded rooms, just keep going on up through the passages until you see the top. Listen for secret 6 to chime and look down and pick up the large medipak then climb out. You are now back inside the room where you killed the guard and grabbed his bike. Climb out and walk straight and turn to your right. One of the switches you pulled opened the double doors to an orange colored room with two more switches. The switch on your right releases some locusts. The left switch plays a cut scene and opens the other door down in the ravine. If you want you can take a different route than this one. I'll give that route to you after I explain the ravine route. Go back out to the broken stairs and hop all the way down and jump into the ravine again. Go through the now open door and pick up secret 7 inside the tunnel and on your right. Keep swimming turn right and swim to the end. Pull out and kill the two bats flapping around you and pull the switches around each corner. One switch opens the doors above you and the other opens the doors leading out of the level. Pick up the fourth piece of armour and climb up and out of this room. Look for the fifth piece of armour nearby and then find the bike near the front of the building just before the open doors. Turn and take care of the bad guy sneaking up on you. Get on the bike. You are near the end of the level and although this part is tricky it can be done. Ride through the barriers until you get to the end. A sentry gun is just around the corner. If you are fast and don't bang into any walls you can make it past this sentry without catching on fire. You will have to be fast and keep an eye on Lara's life and replenish it before you make the jump or she may not survive the fall. After you get past this go through the next few barriers until you get to the double doors and swinging light. The shatter vases contain a revolver and another lasersight. Shoot the light and get back on your bike and go through the doors, down the passage and slightly to the right. Another sentry awaits but just keep fast and to the left and you can slip by it. At the end you will see the portal to end the level. Pick up all the goodies lying about then walk towards the portal.


Alternative Route:
Go out to the stairway and walk down a few steps turn to your left and notice the water. Go to the bottom and walk over to the left and jump over onto the platform below. There is a lever switch to push. Do that and a cut scene will play showing the underwater door open. Get the large medipak from the ledge nearby and jump into the water, swim through the door and pull yourself out at the end. There are a couple of goodies to your left to grab. Next to the helicopter there is a can of fuel. Beyond that in the corner on the right is a door that will open after the can is shot. Shoot the can and the helicopter will explode. Neat effect! Now jump into the open passage and swim down and up into a dark room. Pull the switch and a cutscene will play showing a set of double doors opening. Shoot the vase to open the door out of this small room. Walk forward and notice the bike. Before you can get on the bike a guard will try to stop you. Get him and then get on the bike. This part is tricky but it can be done. Ride through the barriers until you get to the end. A sentry gun is just around the corner. If you are fast and don't bang into any walls you can make it past this sentry without catching on fire. keep an eye on Lara's life and replenish it before you make the big jump or she may not survive the fall. At the end you will see the portal to end the level. Pick up all the goodies lying about then walk towards the portal. That's it! I hope you enjoyed the level.


*If you want to take full advantage of this level and not miss anything you can save the route to the helicopter for last. After jumping into the ravine for the second time and after you grab secret 8 inside the tunnel you can turn and go back through the larger tunnel at the opposite end, stopping for air and swim up to the top again to return to the room where you first killed the guard and took the bike next to the jump switch. Go outside to the broken stairs and to the water and switch on the left. Take it from here and complete the level without missing anything.
